In the fall of 2021 I was approached by the Yearbook Club of Saint James School and asked to design the cover for that year's yearbook, also known as the Bai Yuka.
The theme for that year was fairy tales so I created a design inspired by classic debossed fairy tale story books with intricate corner designs and gold leaf inlays. The cover design features nods to the poplar trees that dot campus as well as the Maryland state flower, the black-eyed Susan, and an illustration of the bridge over the small pond behind campus, an iconic landmark.
The book was then published with a glossy, embossed finish and features a map design I illustrated based on the school's campus along with fairytale and fantasy motifs.
