Furniture series based on identity system developed by Lance Wyman and others for 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, drawing inspiration from indigenous Huichol yarn paintings, Aztec carvings, and mid century Clara Porset butaque chairs.
Also researching student protests, the Tlatelolco massacre, and all of the other complex history surrounding the 1968 Olympics as I create an object meant to promote unity and peace through sharing a moment of rest and conversation between athletic events.
