This video was a piece created for a project within the course "Tools Upside Down" held during Wintersession at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).
Students were tasked with picking a work of art from the RISD Museum and "remixing" it as something else that visualized it from a different perspective using digital tools.
This work was based on the linen damask, Textile (napkin), by Unidentified Maker(s) from the Netherlands, ca.1700, and re-envisions the piece as a retro arcade video game, heavily inspired by Galaga, first released in 1981.
Recreated using a basic  pixel art software and Adobe Photoshop, video and sound effects added in Adobe After Effects.

Check out some more of my work!
