“Hi Grandma” is video project created for my Design Studio 3 course at RISD under Unit 10: Designing With Purpose. The project tasked us with finding a greater social, political, environmental, economic problem in the world and create a one minute long video to help raise awareness through interesting visual elements and typography.
My video centers around my personal relationship with my late grandmother, who passed away due to complications with her battle against dementia. I credit much of my creativity to her but regretted how she stopped making art near the end of her life as her condition took over. This video raises awareness for the early signs of memory loss and how such horribe illnesses affect those around us.
