During the summer of 2024 I worked as a Graphic Design Intern at the Maryland-based merchandise, clothing, and home decor company Route One Apparel.
Working alongside their in-house design team along with their founder/CEO, marketing, and social media teams, I communicated with freelance designers and illustrators to create detailed digital mockups of product ideas and new graphics for clothing.
Working for a large apparel company with a 100k+ customer base and over 3,000 unique products such as Route One Apparel, I gained experience dealing with tight deadlines and product schedules involving freelance designers, digital product mockups, overseas manufacturing and sampling, and final product rollouts via insider groups and 110k+ social followings.
The program was a great way to gain real-world experience in the business world with a very hands-on approach to learning many aspects of what it takes to run a successful and growing company.
This page contains original designs and mockups I created that were shared within the company and later presented to such brands such as the Baltimore Ravens, Grateful Dead, McCormick and Company, B&O Railroad Museum, and more.
The Grateful Dead
One of the largest collaborations that Route One Apparel was in communication with during my time as an intern was the band the Grateful Dead.
During my internship I would sit in on meetings between Route One Apparel's design and marketing teams with Warner Music Experience (WMX), who represented the group.
I created dozens of original designs and mockups for products from shirts to flags, all assembled in a presentation given to WMX to look over.
As of early 2025 the development of the collaboration is still ongoing but a few designs have been sampled.
B&O Railroad Museum
Along with large, nationally recognized brands like the Grateful Dead, the Baltimore Ravens, Natty Boh, and Old Bay, I also helped design merchandise for local businesses such as the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, Maryland.
Miscellaneous Work
A collection of other designs and mockups made during my time at Route One Apparel, either for general Maryland state pride or other local business collaborations.
